In November 2009, the Bright Ribbon Campaign was launched to address the need for more education since a serious look into the future of eye health and the need to raise the standard of eye health in Singapore was warranted.
Singaporeans overwhelmingly believe that sight is the most important sense and yet less care is taken towards the maintenance of eye health than general or dental health. Embracing true eye health will mean a richer and more rewarding life, hence the Bright Ribbon Campaign aims to provide everyone with the right knowledge for attaining true eye health.
The Campaign has been received greatly by the public and was made successful because of the generous support of our campaign partners, the Singapore Polytechnic Optometry Centre and also our charity partners, Gracehaven, Boys Town and Beyond Social Services. In line with Johnson & Johnson Vision Care’s credo-based culture, the Campaign is taking an active role in bringing healthy vision to everyone, everywhere, every day.
